Observation 2159: Psathyrella longipes (Peck) A.H. Sm.

When: 2007-01-27

Collection location: Albion, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Notes:
People spent some time going over the macro- and micro-scopic details of these, to try and get a better name for them. After 30-40 mins or so, in the end they said, just call them longipes, and lets move on.

In other news, this was the first year that anyone brought in a Psathyrella at Albion. Kinda weird, but true as far as I could tell. They are probably usually long gone by the time we get up there in Dec-Jan.
