Observation 216044: Russula pectinatoides Peck

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Michael Kuo, Mushrooms of the Midwest, page 345. Stem hollow, cap 5 cm., stalk 3 cm. Thin cuticle does peel easily from flesh. Found large group of these fruiting in soil in bottomland woods. Hardwoods present, but no conifers.
