Observation 21613: Amanita muscaria group

When: 2009-06-02

Collection location: Wayne National Forest, Athens Co., Ohio, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dan Molter (shroomydan)

No specimen available

Notes:
I encountered these beautiful yellow Amanitas as a severe thunder storm was chasing me out of the woods. They were growing on a flat hill top under mixed hardwoods, mostly maple and tulip poplar with a few oaks. I usually find them under pine, but none were in sight.
