Observation 216155: Tylopilus felleus (Bull.) P. Karst.
When: 2015-09-14
(45.8045° -77.1352° 200m)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found in Zone 45 on a large fallen log. A large bolete was seen on this log once before, many years ago. This time I may have gotten somewhat better photos of it. All parts yellow-brown, though the pores look pinker in the one side-on shot taken with flash (all other photos natural lighting). Stipe reticulated. Pore attachment notched to free. Mushroom was fist-sized. The growth from wood is the most distinctive feature.
