Observation 216366: Scleroderma Pers.


In situ under Quercus palustris (Eastern Red oak).
In hand, showing sporocarp just over 1 inch in size, with scales on peridium and whte rhizomorphs underground.

Additional photo of gleba. Note that background color is gray or blue-gray, and the paler whitish veination.
