Observation 216577: Microporellus dealbatus (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Murrill

Bottomland woods. Found fruiting on small decayed branch lying on the ground – the one in the photo. Definitely on WOOD. Does this rule out C. perennis?? Any help appreciated! Cap 3 cm. Stalk about 5 mm. Total height of specimen about 2 cm.

Used references: David Arora describes M. obovatus as having an unzoned cp and a central to lateral stalk. He describes M. dealbatus as having a concentrically zoned cap and a central stalk. Based on that I am changing my identification to M. dealbatus.
