Notes: Growing on limestone cliff. According to Brodo this is the only species with the distinctive bluish prothallus. Yet Curtis claims to have found three species while studying the same cliff. I’ve much to learn…

This thallus is being parasitized by Acarospora glaucocarpa. The actual apothecia as it turns out are much smaller than the squamules of the acarospora.
