Observation 216729: Pestalotiopsis Steyaert

When: 2015-09-22

Collection location: Florence, Lauderdale Co., Alabama, USA [Click for map]

Who: Matthew Schink (MSchink)

No specimen available

Notes:
Grew as a contaminant in a culture from a Ganoderma I was cloning from Alabama. This is the second Pestalotiopsis I have gotten with Ganoderma from the South, this one is different than my previous find, this has darker, greenish spores.

I haven’t tried to get it to species yet, Pestalotiopsis sensu lato is a good name.
