Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Seemed to have a somewhat viscid cap. Pleasant mushroomy odor. Growing near pine at 4400 feet.

That doesn’t make it Hypomyces chrysospermus. H. microspermus is far more common in CA then chryso-s, plus there are some Hypomyces which occur on Suillus

Reminds me of a Hypomyces covering the gills.
