Observation 216977: Laccaria ochropurpurea (Berk.) Peck
When: 2015-09-24
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Several fruiting in soil beneath leaf litter at various locations along the trail in Oak-Hickory forest. Conditions hot and dry. This cap: 7 cm. Stem 13 cm. X 2 cm., tough, fibrous. Flesh solid, pale lilac-buff or very light flesh color. Too old and dry for spore print, but based on what I can see on the gills I believe spores may be white or pale lilac.
