Who: Lucy Murnane (LMurnane)

No specimen available

Notes:
I identified this specimen as Ganoderma brownii using keys in California Mushrooms by Dennis E. Desjardin, Michael G. Wood and Frederick A. Stevens. I determined first that the specimen was a polypore due to the closely packed tubes on the underside of its cap, as well the fact that it was lignicolous and had no stipe. Then, I identified it as Ganoderma brownii from its brown spores, dark brown cracked top, and white pore surface.
