No herbarium specimen

Notes: Stipe is springy, 12cm long, 1.5-2mm diameter, hollow, charcoal grey outer layer, white (translucent) inner surface. Cap diameter 20mm. Spores are smooth, ovoid, with a pip at one end. Spore print is white.

Marasmius sounds probable, but no noticable garlic smell. Maybe another member of that family? The stipe is smooth, not “velvety”.

Could be Marasmius alliaceus…
