Observation 217855: Scleroderma texense Berk.
When: 2015-09-28
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Singe specimen growing on very decayed old log in mixed woods.
5 cm across.
Spores dark brown and ~ 8 X 12 microns, globose to subglobse, with long spines and reticulation.
Couldn’t find a lot of detailed information on S. texense but these seem to match fairly well.
Did not save this one but found another one at a different location which I did save and will post under another observation.
