I’m not sure if this was a fungus. It was growing amongst three old oak trees.

interesting plant(epiphyte?), apparently its used as either a sedative or a psychoactive, it was included in the “Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants”.
not much info out there on it though.

Thanks for the ID. According to Wikipedia this plant grows from the nutrients produced by mycorrhizas. I’ll be back to this area until I find the fruit of whatever species of fungi is living with the oaks.
