I decided it was atkinsoniana.

At least I’ve been consistent once.

Very best,

Rod

This is the Amanita that we tried getting the cap to open up at Black Mountain NAMA foray.

What did you decide it was finally?

Thanks,
Patrick Harvey

I think the volva may be turning gray.

Why not wrap the bulb in damp paper towels and set the wrapped button vertical in a cup or glass. I think the rings of warts around the stem will go gray and then brown.

You may have __atkinsoniana_.

Very best,

Rod
