Observation 219492: Agaricus deardorffensis Kerrigan

Using the key in Mushrooms Demystified, I keyed this mushroom out to be Agaricus deardorffensis due to its dark brown spores, fibrillose cap, slight phenolic odor, yellow KOH reaction and tendency to bruise yellow when cut.

Fibrillose cap with yellow KOH staining reaction (fading to brown after a few minutes)
White annulus and pinkish gills, yellow spot at base of stipe from bruising
Spores under 100X oil immersion
