Observation 219744: Ganoderma oregonense Murrill
When: 2015-10-18

Notes: Found growing on a W. Hemlock. There were probably around 6 growing at various heights on this tree.
I harvested one of the younger/1st year ones, I believe. It’s spores were white & unbruised. When scratched, it bruised brown. The flesh beneath the crust is quite pithy & corky.
Upon bringing it home, I’ve cut it into small slices. I’d like to either decoct or do a double extraction tincture. If you have any tips or recipes, I’d love to hear them!
