Observation 220214: Boletus rubriceps D. Arora & J.L. Frank

Younger buttons enjoyed fresh with gruyere and soppressata, larger specimens made into белые грибы.

Has a tan brown cap, stains blue, no reticulation, has some red coloration at the base of the stipe, and is very bitter!
