My main criterion for gallica…

has been the cortinate veil. Perhaps my expectation is a bit over-the-top in this respect, as I have often considered slightly fuzzy Armillaria PVs to be essentially membranous. Also, I have always associated the yellow on the PV and elsewhere as indicative of mellea. But I see in the various gallica descriptions the prominent mention of yellow.
