obs 220343 is what I’m talkin’ about. According to sources that I have seen, lateritium grows strictly on the wood of hardwood species. Alan/Pulk, do have a source that confirms an occurrence of lateritium on conifer wood?

Probably lateritium.

But this forest is a mixture of hardwoods and conifers. I have seen red-capped Hypholoma on each type of wood in this area. So I think additional analysis is necessary to rule out capnoides.
