Observation 220927: Lentinus Fr.
When: 2015-10-23
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Primarily coniferous shore forest, growing on wood. About 1.5 cm wide. There was one other growing next to it on the log, but it was so waterlogged and decayed that not many details could be gathered from it.

Sava Krstic did microscopy on this and says: "it’s a Lentinus, not Lentinellus because the spores are smooth and inamyloid. No idea about the species.

The three spores I measured are in the range 4.5-6 × 2-3. A basidium measured 22+3 x 4.5, and those marginal cells (not real cystidia) are about 5 microns wide)."
