Going to have to do some research on this. The gleba is forest green. Found in grass, no trees nearby.

Used references: on-line resource. States V. curtisii can have golden interior, after warts have been washed off; and gleba goes through an “olive” stage. Also said to have a “pinched base” and powdery brownish-stage before becoming mature with brown-purple spore mass.
