Notes: Habitat notes: Erumpting through the bark of a living Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) in mixed tan-oak/Doug-fir/bishop pine forest.

Key characters used to ID: Tough, medium-sized conk; Dark-brown, roughly furrowed and zonate upper surface; Yellowish-/orangish-brown pore surface; Labyrinthine, angular pore arrangement from which it gets the “Porodaedalea” name.

Microscopic characters: Pronounced setae. (See images below.)
