Notes: [OMS Fall Mycocamp]
Brought to the id table with no information. Growing on dung. Cups up to 1 cm across.
Asci ~200 microns long. Longest hair: 640 microns. No free spores found. The most mature ones in the asci measured 15 × 8. No iodine reactions.
The cup size seems to be too large for Ch. fimicola (2-6 mm), and the hairs are more densely septate than what I’m seeing in books. Other Cheilymenia species growing on dung are even smaller. (I don’t have the monograph of the genus by Moravec.)
