Growing under Tanoak, Redwood, and CA Bay Laurel on a disturbed road cut. Larger mushroom was about 8" tall from the base.

Single velar patch and lack of any distinct smell (A. phalloides would have a smell, somewhat like potatoes). Annulate with a creamy, slightly yellow color to the stipe and veil. Volva baggy/saccate.
