Observation 221878: Floccularia
When: 2015-11-04
(47.7286° -123.1446° )
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These two 3" gilled mushrooms, a beautiful yellow color, were growing on the ground beside the shady trail in a mixed conifer forest (mostly Douglas-firs and Western Redcedar) with many Bigleaf Maple trees. The fluted gills and bright color caught my eye, but I didn’t collect them for spore prints as they were a bit raggedy and old. I’m guessing at the elevation of 1000. We were inside the Olympic National Park, close to the Dosewallips River.
