Gray cap surface
White flesh, white stipe, white gills (all bright white, not off-white)
Slight umbo on cap surface (fits w T. marquettense, did not look at other descriptions)
Did not taste test…

Tricholoma marquettense: Described from Michigan (range not too far off) – downvoted by MO community

T. scalpturatum: looks promising

Mycorrhizal partner probably Populus sp. (trees encroaching into the grassland area)
