Everything I just read about Panaeolus acuminatus from several sources says the spores are dark purplish black compared to just jet black for cinctulus. Hmmm..

All members of Panaeolus have jet black spore prints except for Panaeolus foenisecii.

Maybe not cinctulus?

I plan to return to this location soon and I’ll get some prints to see if the spores are purplish or jet black. acuminatus would have a purple tint if I’m not mistaken.
