Gills are much yellower than the photos show. Cap surface viscid; weather dry and breezy on day of collection.

Under pine… not sure of the type.

Browsing the Waxcap book late last night, I skipped over this species. Photo shows a reddish-brown cap… but the description includes “olive brown”. The rest of the details fit this observation about as well as one may expect. Bright yellow gills (not evident in the photos) and yellow on the upper stipe appear to be useful characters.
