Notes: Gilled mushroom with a thin, bent stalk. There is a blunt ring near the top of the stalk and several white scales just below.

Yes, what is that structure that looks like a ring at the stem’s apex?

If that is a ring, this is highly likely to be something not in the Vaginatae.
