Please, stay away from renaming our MO observations! We greatly appreciate your input to our observations, but please, make it in form of the Comments and don’t pretend to be a Consensus. MO gurus are biased against using the “European names”, but, on the other hand, they don’t allow us to follow the Pacific Northwest treatment of Entolomataceae by Largent. Have you heard about the “lumpers” and “splitters”?
Mushroom Observer is a great database system, but its “naming” part is an utter nonsense. Be aware of that and behave accordingly! Consensus is nonsensus and it should be deprecated! With Consensus and similar garbage, MO will remain a nice mycological Ludo game and nothing more. And that’s a pity.
Adolf
