Observation 223454: Trichoderma viride Pers.
When: 2015-11-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting on a barkless, damp, decaying log. So tiny it appears as little more than a colored streak or smudge to the casual observer. Magnification reveals a beautiful and fascinating aqua colored aggregate of minute spherical formations that apparently merge into larger clusters and are white at some stage. Not sure if this is a slime mold, but that would be my first guess. Anyone recognize this???
