Notes: A dozen fruiting within the root zone of a mature Eastern White Pine in residential community. I observed a larger fruiting under this same tree at the end of September 2014. One of the larger caps: 7 cm., sticky, slimy. Stipe: 4 cm. X 7 mm., glandular dots. Please see photos for chemical reactions. Spore print: sienna/cinnamon-brown.
KOH immediately gray/lilac on flesh, then a pinkish halo quickly developed around the initial reaction.
