Notes: Caps with dark scales on a whitish ground color. Specimens are not well-enough developed to determine whether or not the stipe bases will be gradually enlarged of abruptly bulbous.

mid October through the beginning of November. This was a little later than usual. They typically fruit where deep needle duff insulates the ground during freezing mornings.
