Observation 223750: Amanita sect. Lepidella sensu Bas

No herbarium specimen

Notes: under coast live oak, ponderosa pine (planted), madrone. feels like pastels in hand… sorta oily smooth and sluffs off on to fingers and other surfaces.

Can you collect this one and dehydrate a small piece?
It is an Amanita in section Lepidella – and my best guess is that it is A. smithiana, but it would be good to confirm.
