Observation 223934: Amanita Pers.

Maybe Amanita scupta, (http://mushroomobserver.org/image/show_image/570162?q=2g8iQ) Found under large dead log in Eucalyptus forest. Some loose white meal on stipe when handled. Shallow rooted in soil.

We have accessioned this material to Rod’s herbarium and scheduled it to be sampled for DNA sequencing.

this is the same species as your earlier obs., Ian. This appears to have warts on the volval patches. The other does not seem to have them.
