Observation 223975: Amanita sect. Lepidella sensu Bas
When: 2015-11-26

Notes: Possible Amanita…..? Found in Eucalyptus Rain Forest in complete shade on forest floor in soil. Cap displayed light orange/Yellow colour as did Gills and stipe. Base bulbous and darker orange colour was noticeable. Single specimen only detect in surrounding area. Gills fine and close and two viels apparent. This in my opinion is a Beautiful Fungi. Stately and perfect in every way. They never cease to amaze. Dried specimen available.

This material has been accessioned to Rod’s herbarium. We have scheduled it to be sampled for DNA sequencing.

Hope to get my act together today and prepare specimens for mailing. I have some to do for ROH too. One day in the field, 9 specimens, and So Much work. Still loving it though. Health is on the improve thankfully.

I don’t know the answer to your question.
