We saw this sp. about two weeks later very nearby.

Saw these about two weeks later (12/8) in the same area, on Waiakoa trail below Mamane trail. The ones we saw were morphologically very similar to our local Chroogomphus vinicolor from the SF bay area with less lightening at the margin. Also saw the same Suillus sp you posted :)
