Hi Rod,
Unfortunately not…I did not have the means to dry the specimen at that particular point in time (The observation is about a year old). If you look closely at the mushroom, it has been kicked , but I found it in time to take a pic of the cap and stem placed together. I initially thought it was Amanita foetidissima (due to its smell) but after careful thought I would like your inputs on this matter…I thought the colour was not right for Amanita foetidissima. It was lemon yellow….

It is very dry here in RSA – Agonizing dry because there are very few mushrooms about :(
