Observation 22410: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel
When: 2009-06-20

For several years now I have been finding these little white mushrooms growing from the same substrate that hosts Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata, and that is the only place I have ever found them. They begin to pop up just as the psilocybes are winding down their fruiting cycle in mid June. Growing from piles of hardwood sticks and branches under dense vegetation in the floodplain of the Ohio river.
