Observation 22540: Amanita multisquamosa Peck
When: 2009-06-25
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I thought somebody might want this beautiful mushroom so I brought it home. Its drying now. On a ridge top under mostly oak with other hardwoods. I think this might be the same species I observed a few days ago, though the color is lighter.
