I do not think that this mushroom lives in Ohio. I might be moving north soon. This is a species that I really want to find some day. Still waiting to see the microscopy photos ;-)

found on a fairly steep bank that goes down to a lake. The bank has a bunch of displaced leaves and wood from flooding and water flow. Mostly hardwood trees around with a couple pines here and there.

found growing off of beech and leaf litter. Mycelium and stems bruised blue. They were past their prime when i found them.
