When: 2009-07-13

Collection location: Geneva, Switzerland [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found and id’ed by others at the SMG meeting. It seems to id this species, you need orange latex, a scrobiculate stipe, perhaps slightly green stains from bruising but mostly brown, and dark brown stains from latex (not green).

I saw some green staining in the gills, which Lactarius Salomonicolor is not supposed to have correct? also there appears to be some orange and dark red staining of the Latex where cut….it would be interesting to know what kind of tress this was found under?

But the most important feature is a nearby fir for this species:)
