Observation 23335: Pluteus flavofuligineus G.F. Atk.

When: 2009-07-19

Collection location: Wayne National Forest, Athens Co., Ohio, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dan Molter (shroomydan)

No specimen available

These yellowish mushrooms were popping up from under a fallen hardwood branch, but they were attached to the ground. The fragrance is unique for a Pluteus, kinda like a weak big laughing gym. Not much flavor, just indistinct mushroomy.
