Little caramel-colored drops adorn the stem and white, white pore surface of this small bolete. It was found in Zone 16, which is diverse as to tree species but generally fairly quiet mushroom-wise. (Present: Abies balsamea, Acer sp., Betula papyrifera, Picea sp., Pinus banksiana, Pinus strobus, Pinus virginiana, Populus tremuloides, Prunus pensylvanica, and Quercus rubra. At least ten tree species.)
