Notes: It’s a bloody toadstool. And I mean that quite literally — the damn thing looks like it bled when things started eating it. Look at the stem cross-section (last photo) as well as the gill shot. Frankly, it disturbed me somewhat to handle this one.
It was quite large (over 6cm wide and high) and in Zone 24 a moderate distance from those logs.
