This cluster of bright yellow, 2 to 3 inch clubs were growing on the forest floor, out of some pine needles and fallen leaves. The forest consisted mainly of white pine and birch. I thought it might be Neolecta irregularis at first, but the multi-branched and fused base, has me fairly certain it is Spindle shaped Yellow Coral (Clavulinopsis fusiformis).
