Observation 23774: Amanita brunnescens G.F. Atk.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Several of these, of different ages, were in a small area in Zone 09. Mature specimen’s cap had flattened out; stipe base had a large buried bulb. One younger specimen was a very dark brown; another had warts. There were some indications of red staining reactions on the cap surface and the lower part of the stipe.
