When: 2007-02-10

Collection location: Salt Point State Park, Sonoma Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Darvin DeShazer (darv)

No specimen available

Notes:
The zoned cap and habitat with Pines indicate Lactarius deliciosus, but the lack of scrobiculations on the stem and the whitish ring near the apex of the stem indicate Lactarius deterrimus. L. deterrimus grows with Spruce and Salt Point has none. Both have orange latex.
