I proposed the name Meripilus sumstinei for this mushroom because that’s the one I’m fanilar with in NE USA. There’s probably a better name for the version from the UK, Meripilus giganteus?

I would agree. Very young sulphur shelf is a mass of bright yellow,
looks kind of like an Easter peep.
